Michael Janson

Michael Janson is a professional equestrian athlete competing at the top levels of show jumping across the country. He has many successful starts and wins in 1.40 and 1.50 divisions across the east coast including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Saugerties, Saratoga, Lake Placid, and Princeton. In addition to competing, Michael has a passion for starting and developing young horses. His prospects have excelled in all three rings. Most recently, Michael’s horse Caveman Z has been competing successfully in the 1.40 divisions at WEF and ZHS sale horse, Louie, won the Rhode Island Equitation Championships. Both were broke and trained by Michael himself. In addition to training young horses, Michael also shares a passion for training riders. He is an avid clinician and has hosted many clinics along the east coast. 

Having graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2018, Michael has melded his passions for horses and business by working as a financial advisor at New York Life. Michael specializes in helping individuals and families in the equine community plan for the future through investments, insurance, and retirement planning.
