Kim began her corporate career at Bank of Boston after teaching High School in Rhode Island. Kim was recruited to BancBoston Mortgage Corporation from the parent company Bank of Boston to help drive the complete re-engineering of the mortgage process and how business was done.
Graduating from the University of Rhode Island with Bachelor degrees in English, and History, she obtained a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Rhode Island College. Her second Masters, a Masters of Science in Organizational Development, was obtained from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Kim is certified in a number of tools including the Hogan Assessment Suite. She also serves as an executive coach and instructor in Harvard’s Executive Education Programs and is writing a book, Demystifying Talent Management, which is available now through amazon.com.
Kim Janson is the President and CEO of Janson Associates, a firm dedicated to “unleashing people’s potential globally”. Prior to establishing Janson Associates, Kim was the Chief Talent Management Officer at the H. J Heinz Company. While there, she was responsible for leadership development, organizational effectiveness, learning, diversity, change management, performance management, succession and executive coaching.
Kim came to Heinz from Bank of America where she served as the Senior Vice President of Leadership Development for the Global Wealth Business. She is best known for her work there as an executive coach, coaching the presidents and CEOs running the Private Bank, Columbia Management (proprietary asset management company), the Alternative Investments business, the Global Wealth Products business and the Retirement business. She was recruited to join the Bank of America after spending ten years at Hasbro, Inc. as the Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Learning and Diversity.
